János Frittmann from Soltvadkert was the first wine producer of the Great Hungarian Plain who has been named as “Wine Producer of the Year” in 2007, which occasion was a breakthrough for the region’s other wineries as well. The family-owned business that utilizes the knowledge of generations farms on 60 hectares of its own plantation and buys quality grapes from an additional 40-50 hectares. Among its regularly nationally and internationally acclaimed wines, the Winery focuses on fresh, fruity white wines (Ezerjó, Cserszegi Fűszeres, Irsai Oliver, Generosa) and rosés (Kékfrankos and several kinds of Cuvées). It also offers popular world varieties (Sauvignon Blanc, Rhine Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon Franc, Merlot), furthermore, by now, sparkling wines and champagnes too that can be tasted in its spectacular cellar showroom and wine house.
Frittmann Winery won one of the most prestigious Hungarian professional awards called “Winery of the Year” in 2015.
