Pellikán Birtok Winery

Pleasure Winery – this is perhaps the best reflection of what Pellikán Estate in Kiskunmajsa is all about. László Pellikán, who farms only on two hectares, started to make „handmade” wines for his own and for his friends’ pleasure, however, they were so well received by the target audience it turned into a serious matter. Nowadays, in addition to their own area, they buy grapes from a further two hectares. Depending on the vintage, they make 10-20,000 bottles of authentic Great Plain varieties such as Kékfrankos, Kadarka, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Kövidinka, Cserszegi Fűszeres and Rhine Riesling. For those who seek for new experiences, it is also worth to visit the winery because of the dinner evenings of the lovely housewife called Melinda. These occasions are great with Pellican wines – which is one of the main reasons why usually the guests barely want to go home from the traditional farmhouse setting.
