Kiskőrös can not only be proud of being the birthplace of the famous poet, Sándor Petőfi, who wrote excellent wine songs as well, but of the grape- and fruit culture of the people living there too. It is no coincidence that István Csengődi was motivated to continue the family traditions by the respect for the ancestors and the love of the land and the grapes. The goal of István Wine House is to promote high quality sandland wines that can be consumed daily. They have wide variety of selection. Their flagship wines are Bianka and Kadarka, however, their Rooster Blood Cuvée also deserves attention and tasting thank to its creative ingredients and name.
In the wine house, based on the principle of “Open cellar’, the visitors can learn about the operations of wine making, meanwhile, in the mini museum, former viticulture, processing and wine making equipments recall the rich past.
