„Life is too short to drink bad wine!” – the slogan of S. K. Winery, located in the region of Kiskőrös in a town called Tabdi, is quite inspiring. The name of the winery refers to the name of the two owners (Sinkovicz and Kiss) and to the fact they prepare handmade wines (SK is the abbreviation of “saját kezűleg”, which means handmade in Hungarian language). They believe excellent wine is based on outstanding raw materials, therefore, apart from the 10-hectares family farm, they only buy grapes from trusted local producers in order to be able to make “purely fruity”, fresh, lively white and rose wines. They also produce full-bodied white and red wines with crop limitation and with maturation in wooden barrels if needed. When the vintage allows, they are open to late harvest as well; their flagship wine is the late harvested Generosa called Attiéd. They welcome wine lovers at the winery who can even try their hands at harvesting during the late summer and autumn season.
