Šijački is a 25 years old family-owned winery from Banostor with a vineyard that extends over about 11 hectares. The wine is produced and stored in a complex along the Danube consisting of a traditional lagum, two semi-buried rooms and the terrace that serves for receptions and tastings. Šijački offers several types of wines, including Italian Riesling, Rhine Riesling, Chardonnay, Rose Ivana Šijacki (Cabernet Sauvignon), Muscat Hamburg, Kékfrankos and Merlot.
Their specialty is a wine made of Sedusa, which is an old, almost forgotten type of grape. It has been bred for over a decade in order to produce the first wine of this variety in 2016.
Šijački is known for its labels illustrating the members of the family so wine lovers can get to know the four generation representing the winery based on their pictures and signatures.
